Eat Soup - Make It Happen

BHAM SOUP is a micro-funding dinner celebrating and supporting creative projects in Downtown Bellingham. Once a quarter up to four creative projects are pitched to downtown supporters, soup is served and at the end of the night the winner takes home the proceeds to start their idea right away. No hoops involved, just simple fast funding.

We Have Our First Bham SOUP Winner!

We held our inaugural Bham SOUP’s inaugural soup dinner on Monday,
January 21
and had four great presenters - Dan Vee, Erin Gill, Jonah Laugharn
and Alex McLean - and over 100 people in attendance. We were thrilled!

The winner of the night was Alex, who has already created some really cool bike racks downtown (they’re the ones made out of wood with the planters of succulents in them) and his plan is to finish some that he has already started and make some more new ones. He won $975 that night, which will help him secure more materials.

Our second SOUP will take place in January 2020. We’re looking for volunteers to help pull it off. Interested in helping? Let us know by emailing us at Thank you!

In January, 2019 Alex McLean won nearly $1,000 to make his idea come
to life - what could YOU do with that amount of cash?
