Bham SOUP is a community-based initiative, initiated by the Downtown Bellingham Partnership, that funds creative and engaging projects using money collected at soup dinners. During each Bham SOUP funding cycle, individuals from the Bellingham community may submit a project proposal that demonstrates a positive impact for Downtown Bellingham. Projects can range from placemaking and art to entrepreneurial and social enterprises – the main criteria is that the project serves the Downtown Bellingham neighborhood. Applications are received online through the website and the first eight eligible applications are invited to come and pitch their ideas the night of the SOUP dinner.

That night the public is invited to attend and vote for their favorite proposal. A suggested $10 cash donation per person at the door entitles each attendee to a locally prepared soup dinner and the opportunity to hear all of the proposals from each eligible applicant and vote for their favorite. The Bham SOUP nightly proceeds will be awarded to the proposal that receives the most votes from the audience. We are also hoping to secure a matching sponsor for each night that will match the donations up to $500.

Please note there are no pre-sale of tickets before the soup dinner. Donations are taken at the door the night of the event.
